October 22, 2004 Burlington County flood relief donations
Thanks to the dedication of band members and the generosity of our audiences, the band donated $500 to the Red Cross Burlington County Flood Relief Fund and $1,000 to the Lumberton Disaster Relief Fund.

August 2002 A Band on Ship!

January 3, 2000 The Golden Eagle Band to Represent New Jersey in Washington, DC Music Festival

July 14, 1999 Golden Eagle Band Takes First Place
For the second year in a row, the Golden Eagle Community Band has taken first place in the senior music division of the Elks Competition Parade held annually in Wildwood, NJ. The band competed against adult musical groups from throughout the state of New Jersey. The band was hosted by the Mount Holly Elks Lodge No. 848 for the parade.
January 27, 1999 A New Music Director for The Golden Eagle Band
The Executive Board announced that Deb Knisely was stepping down as Music Director for personal reasons effective immediately. Daryl Bear, who plays clarinet in the band and was serving as Concertmaster at the time, was elected by the Executive Board to take the position. Daryl has extensive experience in conducting, as he served as a music educator in the Burlington City School District for 17 years.
November 3, 1998 The Golden Eagle Band elects its 1999 Executive Board
The band membership elected its 1999 Executive Board at its November 3rd rehearsal. The following band members were elected:
Deb Knisely, Music Director
Steve Lett, President
Michele Nisula, Vice President
Kathy Kaewell, Secretary
Dave Arnal, Treasurer
Sharon Forney, Member-at-Large (2-year term)
Linda Johnson, Member-at-Large (2nd year of 2-year term)
August 6, 1998 Our Web Site Undergoes a Facelift
As you can tell, we've given our site a new look. Most of the changes are cosmetic (making the site look a whole lot better), but a few small changes have occurred in its structure. Some of the changes were also made for compatability with browsers which had problems with the old site. For Example, this News page is new, and the information from the old Member Info page has been moved both to here and into the About Us area. We hope that you like what we have done.
